AN ACT to amend the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Act 1977.
[25th January 2008]
BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:
(1) This Act may be cited as the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Amendment Act 2008 and shall be read with and form part of the Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Act 1977 (the Principal Act).
(2) This Act commences on the date of assent by the Head of State.
The Principal Act is amended by deleting the words “a term not exceeding 10 years” mentioned in section 14 of the Principal Act and substituting them with the following “an initial term not exceeding 30 years, and such lease may, at the option of the Corporation, include a right of renewal for one or two further renewals, each renewal term not exceeding 30 years”.
The Samoa Trust Estates Corporation Amendment Act 2008 is administered by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
