Public Prosecutor v Numbus [1914] VUNHJC 4; Criminal 243 (17 April 1914)

JOINT COURT OF THE NEW HEBRIDES.

CASE No. 243


This seventeenth day of April 1914 in the matter of a charge against NUMBUS, a, a native of Tanna, New Hebrides, for that he did on the 25th - 26th March 1914 enter at night the house of Miss Sarah Jane Matson, at Irririki, Vila, with intent to commit a felony to wit that of stealing the goods and chattels therein:

The Court having considered the matter of the above mentioned charge determines that it is not proved and acquits the said accused.

And the Court orders that the Condominium do pay the costs of these proceedings.
