Public Prosecutor v Young [1914] VUNHJC 2; Criminal 237 (20 February 1914)

The Joint Court of the New Hebrides


Case No. 237


This twentieth day of February one thousand nine hundred and fourteen in the natter of a charge against George Young.

The above named George Young stands convicted in default of his appearance before the Joint Court for that on or about the 17th. November 1913, he did give alcoholic liquor to the natives Jack and Torn Aru contrary to the Provisions of Article LIX of the Convention of 20th. October 1906.

Thereupon the Joint Court sentences the said George Young for his said offence to pay a fine of two pounds (Z2) and the costs of these proceedings.

The witness Tom Aru is fined four shillings (4/-) not having appeared after having been duly summoned.
