SENTENCE
Mwanesalua DCJ: Alpha Aosiniara has been found guilty of one count assault causing actual bodily harm under section 245 and one count of rape under section 136 of the Penal Code.
He was convicted of the offences on 12th April in 2019. He has no previous convictions. He was a first offender.
The facts on his case were agreed by the Prosecution and the Defence Counsels.
He was arrested for his offences on 27th April 2016. He is accordingly sentenced as follows:
Assault causing actual bodily harm-Two years imprisonment
Rape-Three years imprisonment
The sentences are to be served concurrently.
Order accordingly.
