V

TIMOTHY JACK KIRIO

High Court of Solomon Islands
(Palmer J.)

Criminal Case No. 65 of 1993

Hearing:
Sentence: 17 September 1993

DPP for Defendant
Public Solicitor prosecution
Guilty Plea - Credit given

SENTENCE

PALMER J: Note a young person and have a lot going for you. Have committed a string of offences previously re similar offence. Started young and must straighten out life or else would be faced with a much sentence.

Note currently in prison serving an 18 months sentence committed on a separate occasion. This was committed on a separate occasion and therefore should be made consecutive. However, in view of your age and taking into account that count should try to be rehabilitated in their approach I will impose the 18 months sentence effective from today, rather than when your current sentence will expire, so in a way it is much less than if it had been consecutive but not altogether concurrent.

Convicted accordingly.

(A.R. Palmer)
JUDGE
