LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2010

These Regulations are made to amend Part V of the Local Government Regulations

New Heading

1. The heading of Part V of the Local Government Regulations is repealed and the following heading substituted:

"PART V – CIVIC OBLIGATIONS"

Part V, Section 1 Amended

2. Section 1 of Part V of the Local Government Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the word "services" in both places it occurs and substituting the word "service";

(b) omitting the word "provisions" and substituting the word "provision"; and

(c) omitting the phrase "public work" in both places it occurs and substituting the phrase "a civic obligation".

Part V, Sections 2, 4 and 5

3. Sections 2, 4, and 5 of Part V of the Local Government Regulations are amended
hereby amended by omitting the phrase "public work" in all the places in which it appears, and substituting the phrase "civic obligations".

Part V, Section 6 amended

4. Section 6 of Part V of the Local of the Local Government Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the phrase "public work" where it appears following the phrase "liable to perform" and substituting the phrase "civic obligations";

(b) omitting the phrase "public work" where it appears in paragraph (b) and substituting the phrase "civic obligation"; and

(c) omitting the phrase "Penalty: $50".

Part V, Section 7 amended

5. Section 7 of Part V of the Local Government Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the phrase "public work" and substituting the phrase "civic obligations"; and

(b) omitting the phrase "Penalty: $50".
