ARRANGEMENT OF SECTION.

New Section 6.

“6. PAPUA LNG PROJECT FISCAL STABILITY AGREEMENT TO HAVE FORCE OF LAW.”.

No. 13 of 2019.

AN ACT

entitled

Resource Contracts Fiscal Stabilization (Papua LNG Project)(Amendment) Act 2019,

Being an Act to amend the Resource Contracts Fiscal Stabilization Act 2000,

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, and in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

NEW SECTION 6.

The Principal Act is amended by inserting after Section 5, the following new section:

“6. PAPUA LNG PROJECT FISCAL STABILITY AGREEMENT TO HAVE FORCE OF LAW.
The agreement entered into under this Act in respect of the Papua LNG Project (as defined in Subsection 4(1) of the Income Tax Act 1959) has the force of law notwithstanding anything in any other law.”.
