AN ACT

entitled

Oaths, Affirmation and Statutory Declaration (Amendment) Act 2015,

Being an Act to amend the Oaths, Affirmations and Statutory Declarations Act (Chapter 317) and for related purposes,

MADE by the National Parliament.

1. COMMISSIONER FOR OATHS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 12).

Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2) by repealing the word "six" and replacing it with the word "three".

2. APPLICATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 12B).

Section 12B of the Principal Act is amended -

(a) in Subsection (3), Paragraph (c), by repealing the letter and numbers "K200.00" and replacing it with the letter and numbers "K1,000.00"; and

(b) by inserting immediately after Subsection (3) the following new subsection –

"(4) All applications for renewal shall be subject to the same requirements as specified under Section 12B(3).".

3. GRANT OF APPLICATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 12C).

Section 12C of the Principal Act is amended in Subsection (2) by repealing the words "Attorney-General" and replacing it with the words "Secretary for Justice".
