AN ACT

entitled

Interpretation (Amendment) Act 2009,

Being an Act to amend the Interpretation Act (Chapter 2),

MADE by the National Parliament to come into operation in accordance with a notice in the National Gazette by the Head of State, acting with, an in accordance with, the advice of the Minister.

INTERPREATION OF TERMS (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 3).

Section 3(1) of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the definition of "Commissioner General of Internal Revenue" the following:–

"Commissioner of the Papua New Guinea Customs Service' or "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of the Papua New Guinea Customs Service appointed under Section 3 of the Customs Act (Chapter 101);".
