AN ACT

entitled

Coffee Industry Corporation (Statutory Functions and Powers) (Amendment) Act 2003,

Being an Act to amend the Coffee Industry Corporation (Statutory Functions and Powers) Act 1991,

MADE by the National Parliament.

1. AMENDMENT OF HEADING TO PART II.

The Heading to Part II of the Principal Act is amended by adding the following:-

"AND POWERS OF THE MINISTER.".

2. STATUS OF THE COFFEE INDUSTRY CORPORATION (AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4).

Section 4(1) of the Principal Act is amended by inserting before the words "The Coffee Industry Corporation" the following:-

"Subject to Subsection 4A,".

3. NEW SECTION 4A.

Part II of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after Part II the following new section:-

"4A. MINISTER MAY ISSUE DIRECTIONS, ETC.,
The Minister may, from time to time, take such action or issue directions in relation to the discharge of the functions and exercise of the powers vested in the Coffee Industry Corporation by this Act, and the Coffee Industry Corporation shall comply with such directions.".
