Funding for PacLII

PacLII provides a free-access service which is not funded by usage charges or advertisements and depends entirely on donations to continue to give access to Pacific Islands primary legal materials to the people of the Pacific region.

CURRENT FUNDING CONTRIBUTORS:

Core Funding


The following organisations are providing core funding to PacLII for the continuation and expansion of the its essential services and provide capacity to maintain and develop existing and new partnerships to support PacLII's longer term sustainability:

• Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) – July 2024 to June 2027
• UK Integrated Security Fund (UKISF) – July 2024 to June 2027


Project Funding


PacLII is engaged in the following projects:

• Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives - Improving Access to Justice in Vanuatu through digitising court judgments and training legal professionals and the community on PacLII
• Australia Solomon Islands Partnership for Justice - Digitisation of Solomon Islands court judgments and establishing a publication unit in the Solomon Islands
