A conference welcome function took place on the evening of Monday 30 August, with cultural performances by students and a Melanesian feast.

Two international moots took place in the evenings during the conference. The first, on Tuesday 31 August, was between Auckland University and USP Laucala Campus students. It was won by Laucala. On the morning of Thursay 2 Septmber a tour to a local custom village took place.
