BETWEEN: KORIMOA TABERANNANG & PETER LIONEL MALAVISI

Respondents
Date of Judgment: 7 August 2025
For the Applicants: Ms. Taaira Timeon
For the Respondents: In person
R U L I N G
I have reviewed the application to adopt the child Anna Maria (female). The supporting affidavits from both the adoptive and biological parents, along with other references, show that the application is complete. This court is convinced that, in the best interest of the child, Anna Maria, an adoption order should be granted.
The respondents are the biological parents of the adopted child. Both parents provided evidence of their approval of the adoption by the applicants and confirmed that the child will be well cared for by the adoptive parents. The natural father and adoptive mother are siblings. The applicants stated that they will care for and raise Anna Maria as their own child and will provide her with full support as her parents.
I am confident that both applicants are medically and financially capable of supporting the child. They will provide the proper care and love that the child needs.
For the reasons stated above, the adoption application is approved, and the child, Anna Maria, is adopted by Peter Lionel Malavisi and Korimoa Taberannang. The respondents' parental rights have now been transferred to them.
Order accordingly.
THE HON TETIRO SEMILOTA MAATE MOANIBA
CHIEF JUSTICE
