FILE NOTE

[1] By information filed on 6 October 2018, the 2 accused persons were jointly charged with 1 count of giving false information to a public servant, contrary to section 122(a) of the Penal Code (Cap.67), and 1 count of exhibiting a film without being the holders of an exhibitor’s licence, contrary to section 3(8) of the Exhibition of Films Ordinance (Cap.31A).

[2] Counsel for the Republic has today stated in court the Attorney-General’s desire to enter a nolle prosequi in respect of both charges under section 68(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap.17).

[3] The accused persons are accordingly discharged.

[4] This file is to be closed.
