[1] By information filed on 13 May 2016, the accused was charged with 1 count of attempted rape, contrary to section 130 of the Penal Code (Cap.67).

[2] Counsel for the Republic has today stated in court the Attorney-General’s desire to enter a nolle prosequi under section 68(1) of the Criminal Procedure Code.

[3] The accused is accordingly discharged.

[4] This file is to be closed.
