  1. Mr Teiwaki appeared for the appellant when this case was called at Makin today.
  2. Mr Berina, who acts for the brothers and sisters of Kaiea Taabuu, was not present in Court. A letter on file explains that he could not get a seat on the plane.
  3. Mr Sim, who appears for the Chief Lands Officer, was also not present in Court. The reasons why are given in my minute of 9.5.97.
  4. In all the circumstances, an adjournment was granted and the case was stood over to the next sittings. However, leave is given to the parties to apply to transfer the case to South Tarawa, or to apply for a special sittings of the High Court in Makin later in the year.
