JUDGEMENT

The accused previous good character and a woman with children. It is hard to counterpart prison sentence. But instances of the offences of this nature on becoming common and I would be fairly in my duty if I did not take a very senior view of these offences. You were put in a position of trust in a public office, you betrayed that trust for greed. You are undoubtedly an intelligent woman but you decided to use that ability for wrong purposes.

I take all that has been said on your behalf into consideration and pass the sentence which consistent with the circumstances of this case and my public duty.

On Count 1 - imprisonment of 18 months.
On Count 2 - imprisonment of 12 months.

Both sentences to run concurrently.

F. Muhammad
Judge
