TELECOMMUNICATIONS (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2011
(DECREE No. 29 OF 2011)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me pursuant to section 4 of the Office of the Vice-President and Succession Decree 2009 (Decree No. 8 of 2009), I hereby make the following Decree -

TO AMEND THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROMULGATION 2008

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Telecommunications (Amendment) Decree 2011 and is deemed to have come into force on 1st August, 2008.

Section 24 amended

2. Section 24 of the Telecommunications Promulgation 2008 ("the Promulgation") is amended-

(a) in sub-section (1)(d) by inserting the word "and use" in between 'administration' and 'of';

(b) in sub-section (2) by-

(i) inserting in paragraph (a) the word "and" after the semi-colon ";";

(ii) deleting in paragraph (b) after the word 'fit', "; and" and substituting with a full-stop"."; and

(iii) deleting paragraph (c).

Section 27 amended

3. Section 27 sub-section (1) (e) of the Promulgation is amended by deleting the comma and words between 'licensees' and the semi-colon.
