STATE SERVICES (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2009

(DECREE NO. 27)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the President and Commander in Chief of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title and Commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the State Services (Amendment) Decree 2009, and shall come into force on 22nd July 2009.

Section 12 amended

2. The State Services Decree 2009 (Decree No. 6) is amended in Section 12(4) and (5) by deleting "heard and".

Section 29 amended

3. The State Services Decree 2009 (Decree No. 6) is amended in Section 29 by inserting the following new paragraph after paragraph (7):

"(8) A Commission may by regulation make provision for the establishment of a disciplinary tribunal for the purposes of hearing disciplinary charges against an employee of the Commission and may confer such other functions, powers or duties on a disciplinary tribunal for the purposes of facilitating the functions and powers of the Commission."
