FIJI ISLANDS TRADE AND INVESTMENT BUREAU
(AMENDMENT) DECREE 2011
(DECREE No. 28 of 2011)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me pursuant to section 4 of the Office of the Vice-President and Succession Decree 2009 (Decree No. 8 of 2009), I hereby make the following Decree-

TO AMEND THE FIJI ISLANDS TRADE AND INVESTMENT
BUREAU ACT [CAP. 221]

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau (Amendment) Decree 2011 and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

Section 1 amended

2. The Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau Act 1999 ("the Act") is amended by deleting section 1 and substituting-

"Short Title

1. This Act may be cited as the Investment Fiji Act".

Section 2 amended

3. Section 2 of the Act is amended by deleting the definition of "Bureau" and substituting –

"Board" means the Investment Fiji Board established under section 3;

Consequential amendments

4. - (1) The Act and all subsidiary laws made under the Act are amended by deleting the words "Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau" wherever it appears and substituting "Investment Fiji"

(2) The Act and all subsidiary laws made under the Act is amended by deleting the word "Bureau" wherever it appears and substituting "Board".

(3) The Act and all subsidiary laws made under the Act are amended by deleting the words "the Fiji Islands" wherever it appears and substituting "Fiji".

(4) All written laws are amended by deleting the words "Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau" wherever it appears and substituting "Investment Fiji".

(5) All State documents, of any nature whatsoever, are consequentially amended by deleting the word "Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau" wherever is appears and substituting "Investment Fiji", unless the context otherwise requires.
