FIJI ISLANDS AUDIO-VISUAL COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2011
(DECREE NO. 9 OF 2011)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as President of the Republic of Fiji and the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces by virtue of the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009, I hereby make the following Decree –

A DECREE TO PROVIDE FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE
FIJI ISLANDS AUDIO-VISUAL COMMISSION ACT 2002

Short title and commencement

1. - (1) This Decree may be cited as the Fiji Islands Audio-Visual Commission (Amendment) Decree 2011 and is deemed to have come into force on the 15th day of February, 2011.

(2) The Fiji Islands Audio-Visual Commission Act 2002 shall be referred to as "the Act".

Section 4 amended

2. Section 4 of the Act is amended by deleting the whole section and substituting -

"4 - (1) The Commission shall consist of the following members to be appointed by the Minister-

(a) a Chairperson; and

(b) seven other member

(2) Members of the Commission may be appointed for any period up to 3 years and are eligible for re-appointment for such further term or terms as the Minister may see fit.

(3) Members of the Commission are entitled to allowances to be fixed by the Minster."
