EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS PROMULGATION (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2009

GOVERNMENT OF FIJI
(DECREE NO. 14)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the President and Commander in Chief of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, I hereby make the following Decree:

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Employment Relations Promulgation (Amendment) Decree 2009, and shall be deemed to come into force on 15th April 2009.

Section 85 amended

2. Section 85 of the Employment Relations Promulgation 2007 is amended by inserting the following new subsection after subsection (3):

"(4) Section 77(1)(d) does not apply to a person who is employed by, or seeking employment with, the Government in accordance with the Public Service Act 1999 or a municipal council in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act (Cap. 125)."
