AN ACT

TO AMEND THE EXCISE ACT

[4th November 2005]

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands -

Short title sand commencement

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Excise (Budget Amendment) Act 2005 and is deemed to have commenced on 4th November 2005.

Schedule 2 amended

2. Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Excise Act is amended by -

(a) substituting the expression "128.86 cents" for the expression "125.11 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.01;

(b) substituting the expression "85.90 cents" for the expression "83.40 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.02;

(c) substituting the expression "128.86 cents" for the expression "125.11 cents" and the expression "85.90 cents" for the expression "83.40 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.03;

(d) substituting the expression "$74.25" for the expression "$72.09" in column 3 of Item No. 2.01;

(e) substituting the expression "$43.61" for the expression "$42.34" in column 3 of Item No. 2.02;

(f) substituting the expression "$74.25" for the expression "$72.09" and the expression "$43.61" for the expression $42.34" in column 3 of Item No. 2.03;

(g) substituting the expression "$1.27" for the expression "$1.23" in column 3 of Item No. 3.01;

(h) substituting the expression "$1.48" for the expression "$1.44" in column 3 of Item No. 3.02;

(i) substituting the expression "$48.95" for the expression "$47.52" in column 3 of Item No. 4.01;

(j) substituting the expression "$27.95" for the expression "$27.14" in column 3 of Item No. 4.03;

(k) substituting the expression "$48.95" for the expression "$47.52" in column 3 of Item No. 4.04;

(l) substituting the expression "$0.91" for the expression "$0.88" in column 3 of Item No. 4.05;

(m) substituting the expression "$2.25" for the expression "$2.18" in column 3 of Item No. 5.01;

(n) substituting the expression "$1.98" for the expression "$1.92" in column 3 of Item No. 5.02;

(o) substituting the expression "$2.25" for the expression "$2.18" in column 3 of Item No. 5.03; and

(p) substituting the expression "$1.98" for the expression "$1.92" in column 3 of Item No. 5.04;
