AN ACT
TO AMEND THE EXCISE ACT, 1986

ENACTED by the Parliament of Fiji-

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Excise (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1994.

Interpretation

2. In this Act, the Excise Act, 1986, is referred to as the "Principal Act".

Part 1 of Schedule 2 amended

3. Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Act is amended by-

(a) substituting the expression "59.42 cents" for the expression "54.42 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.01;

(b) substituting the expression "48.97 cents" for the expression "43.97 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.02;

(c) substituting the expression "59.42 cents" for the expression "54.42 cents" and the expression "48.97 cents" for the expression "43.97 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 1.03;

(d) substituting the expression "90 cents" for the expression "85 cents" in column 3 of Item No. 3.00;

(e) substituting the symbol and figures "$28.89" for the symbol and figures "$26.26" in column 3 of Item No. 4.01;

(f) substituting the symbol and figures "$16.50" for the symbol and figures "$15.00" in column 3 of Item No. 4.03; and

(g) substituting the symbol and figures "$28.89" for the symbol and figures "$26.26" in column 3 of Item No. 4.04.
