CUSTOMS TARIFF (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2009

(DECREE NO. 15)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the President of the Fiji Islands and Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, and acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, I hereby make the following Decree—

TO AMEND THE CUSTOMS TARIFF ACT 1986

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Decree 2009 and comes into force on 1st June 2009.

Part I and II of Schedule 2 amended

2. Part I and II of Schedule 2 to the Customs Tariff Act 1986 is amended—

(a) by deleting the expression "Automotive diesel oil" in description column 2 of the tariff schedule for the tariff item No. 2710.11.31 and substituting with the expression "Gas-oil (diesel) having sulphur content not exceeding 500ppm.";

(b) by deleting the expression "Industrial diesel oil" in description column 2 of the tariff schedule for the tariff item No. 2710.11.32 and substituting with the expression "Gas-oil (diesel) having sulphur content not exceeding 500ppm.";

(c) by deleting the expression "Industrial diesel oil" in description column 2 of the tariff schedule for code 117(iii) and substituting with the expression "Gas-oil (diesel) having sulphur content not exceeding 500ppm.";
