AN ACT

TO AMEND THE COCONUT INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ACT

ENACTED by the Parliament of the Fiji Islands-

Short title etc.

1.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Coconut Industry Development Authority (Amendment) Act 1999.

(2) This Act is deemed to have come into force on l5th January 1999.

Constitution of Authority

2. Section 4 of the Coconut Industry Development Authority Act 1998 (No. 48 of 1998) is amended in subsection (2)-

(1) by deleting "and" at the end of paragraph (b);

(2) by deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (c) and substituting a semicolon and "and"; and

(3) by adding after paragraph (c) the following new paragraph-

" (d) 1 other member is appointed by the Minister at his or her discretion from among the persons described in subsection (1) (a) .".
