BANKRUPTCY (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2012
(DECREE NO. 16 OF 2012)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the President of the Republic of Fiji and the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces by virtue of the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009, I hereby make the following Decree-

A DECREE TO AMEND THE BANKRUPTCY ACT (CAP. 48)

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Bankruptcy (Amendment) Decree 2012 and shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

Section 89 amended

2. Section 89 of the Bankruptcy Act (Cap. 48) is amended in subsection (3) by:

(i) deleting the word "court" and substituting "Minister" wherever it appears except in subsections (e) and (if) and

(ii) deleting paragraph (g) and substituting with the following-

"(g) any other expenditure relating to the modernisation and efficient operations, of the office of the Official Receiver to provide needed services to the public".
