Ali v Reginam [1977] FJSC 152; Criminal Appeal 11 of 1977 (9 March 1977)

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF FIJI
(WESTERN DIVISION)
AT LAUTOKA
APPELLATE JURISDICTION

Criminal Appeal No. 11 of 1977

BETWEEN

RIASAT ALI s/o Akbar Khan
Appellant

AND

REGINAM
Respondent

Appellant in person
Mr. D. Williams for the Respondent

COURT:

I certainly had it in mind to increase your sentence since you do not appear to have benefited from your previous prison sentence. However, in view of the fact that you did not start living with Nazmun Nisha I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that that decision resulted from a change of heart. I am not prepared to reduce the sentence but I will just simply dismiss your appeal.

(Sgd.) K.A. Stuart
JUDGE

LAUTOKA,
9th March, 1977.
