JUDGMENT OF THE COURT


[1] You have been charged as follows:


Statement of Offence


ATTEMPTED MURDER: Contrary to Section 214(b) of the Penal Code, Cap. 17.


Particulars of Offence


MOHAMMED ATIK s/o Mohammed Hanif, on the 23rd day of June 2009 at Ba in the Western Division with intent unlawfully to cause the death of PUSPA WATI d/o Mahend Prasad, strike the said Puspa Wati with a cane knife thereby endangering her life.


[2] You have been found guilty on the unanimous opinion of three assessors of the offence. In directing myself on my own Summing Up, I agree with them. The verdict is perfectly available on the evidence.


[3] You are found guilty of the charge and duly convicted: that is the judgment of this Court.
