State v Senikarawa [2003] FJHC 193; HAC0017Y.2002S (20 May 2003)

IN THE HIGH COURT OF FIJI
AT SUVA
CRIMINAL JURISDICTION

CRIMINAL CASE NO: HAC0017 OF 2002

STATE

-v-

PENIASI SENIKARAWA

Counsel: Mr D. Prasad with Ms L. Chandra for State
Accused in Person

JUDGMENT

I have directed myself in accordance with the summing up. The 3 assessors are unanimously of the opinion that the accused is guilty on each count. I find PW1 to be a credible and reliable witness and despite the lack of corroboration on Counts 1 – 3, I am satisfied of the guilt of the accused on each count as charged. I convict him accordingly.

Nazhat Shameem
JUDGE
