Nakoli v The State [1993] FJHC 54; Haa0027.93s (17 June 1993)

IN THE HIGH COURT OF FIJI
At Suva
Appellate Jurisdiction

CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 27 OF 1993

Between:

ISIMELI NAKOLI
Appellant

- and -

THE STATE
Respondent

No Appearance for Appellant
Mr. Vakalalabure for the Respondent

ORDER

Appellant already served and discharged from prison. This is a shocking state of affairs where a one page Court record of Nausori Magistrate Court has taken almost 2 YEARS to prepare!! with the result the appellant has already served his term and his sentence appeal which on the face of the records was a meritorious one has had to be dismissed. Please bring this minute to the attention of Nausori Magistrate Court and seek a written explanation.

(D.V. Fatiaki)
JUDGE

At Suva,
17th June, 1993.
