An Act to amend the Public Holidays Act 1999
The Parliament of the Cook Islands enacts as follows-
This Act is the Public Holidays (Ra o te Ui Ariki) Amendment Act 2013.
This Act comes into force on the day after the day on which it is assented to by the Queen's Representative.
This Act amends the Public Holidays Act 1999.
Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the definition of Ra o te Ui Ariki and substituting the following-
- "Ra o te Ui Ariki means the first Friday of July in each calendar year".
This Act is administered by the Office of the Prime Minister.
