An Act to amend the Cook Islands Investment Corporation Act 1998

(14th September 1998

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title

This Act may be cited as the Cook Islands Investment Corporation Amendment Act 1998 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Cook Islands Investment Corporation Act 1998 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Office of the Public Expenditure Review Committee and Audit to be the Auditor of the Corporation and subsidiaries

Section 17(2) of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting after the words "Board may" and before the words "appoint a person" the following:

"after consultation with and approval of the Chairman of the Public Expenditure Review Committee,"

3. Public Expenditure Review Committee

Section 18 of the principal Act is hereby amended by deleting the word "may" from between the words "Audit Act 1995-96" and the word "review" and inserting the following words:

"shall when it deems appropriate".

This Act is administered by the Cook Islands Investment Corporation.
