High Court of the Cook Islands |
IN THE HIGH COURT OF THE COOK ISLANDS
HELD AT RAROTONGA
(CIVIL DIVISION)
CR: 212/10
IN THE MATTER
BETWEEN
COOK ISLANDS POLICE
AND
KAVEAO KAVEAO
Judgment: 29 April 2010 (NZT)
SUPPLEMENTARY JUDGMENT OF WESTON J
[1] On 23 April 2010 (Cook Islands time) I sentenced Kaveao Kaveao to six months imprisonment. At the time, I did not appreciate that Mr Kaveao had already been in custody for some period. I understand that he was in custody in relation to the offending for which he was sentenced.
[2] My intention is that the defendant should serve six months imprisonment in relation to this offending. That means it should include time served. My earlier order is to be read subject to this clarification.
Weston J
