ORDERS OF GRICE J


Court: I amend those orders so Mr Tamahunu you are


(1) granted bail

(2) you must remain in the Cook Islands jurisdiction until further order of this Court

(3) you will apply one surety of $5,000 to ensure that you return to the trial

(4) that you don't return to Manihiki for 4 weeks from today

(5) that this matter will be adjourned for the Registrar to fix a date for the hearing of the trial

(6) that you don't apply for a passport in the mean time.

(7) the order that you didn't associate with Mr Okotai is now discharged

(8) there is an order suppressing details apart from the fact of the bail decision and its outcome to continue and that does not include suppression of your name as well. (Due to previous conviction).

(9) the application made by your lawyer, Mr George, for the Court to pay your return airfares to Manihiki is refused.

Mr Johnson, similarly


(1) you are granted bail and you must remain in the Cook Islands until your trial or until the Judge makes further order.

(2) You must apply one surety of $5,000 so that you pay at that persons promises that you return tomorrow

(3) that you don't return to Manihiki for a period of 4 weeks from today and that the matter will proceed to a trial, the Registrar will fix the date for the trial

(4) that you will hand in your passport to the Registrar on Manihiki.

(5) The non association order with Mr Okotai is discharged

(6) there is an order suppressing details of this case apart from the fact of the outcome of the decision which includes suppression of your name

(7) the application for the Crown to pay the return airfares to Manihiki made by Mr George on your behalf is refused, thank you.

Further: Mr George's application that the press not use the word "terrorist" in reporting the matter is refused.
