HELD AT RAROTONGA
(CRIMINAL DIVISION)

CR NO. 174/03

POLICE

v

TEREAPII WILLIAMS
Defendant

Mr Titaa for Police
Mr Tereapii Williams for self

Date of Sentence: 4 July 2003

DECISION OF SMITH J

You have been found guilty on a charge of indecent assault on a girl under 12 years. You are currently 52 years of age and you have a police history of some 18 or 19 charges which have been laid against you between 1967 and 1998. It does seem obvious that you have not responded to the treatment you've received in prison in the past, that may be because the terms of imprisonment imposed were too short. On this charge you are sentenced to a term of 5 years imprisonment.
